Tyranitar24 | August 28, 2008 | Video | PC Playstation 3
For the season finale of the Jace Hall show, where they interview athletes, developers, and others about games, comes the first sneak peek of the tactical shooter titled Aliens: Colonial Marines! The video doesn't show much, just destruction of everything in sight. Check the source for the vid.

The game is being developer by Gearbox Software and is being published by Sega for the PC, 360, and PS3. Expect the aliens to hit shelves sometime next year!
Tucked away within the season finale of Jace Hall's studio-hopping web show was the first video of Gearbox's sci-fi shooter Aliens: Colonial Marines, which was penned by Battlestar Galactica writers and hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next year.

Since when does "First glimpse" = Videos?

      Let's consult the dictionary...

      Glimpse =
      quote
to come into view; appear faintly.

      That's what I thought, *bleep*ing moron.

So Shack News doesn't get to have their first glimpse at a game?

*Spoiler alert* Different people are involved with each individual publication.

          ...What the *bleep*?

So because THEY are not affiliated with GameInformer, it's ok to say THEY got the first sneak peek? I take it when IGN, Gamespot, and other gamesites/magazines get information about the game, they'll be the first on the scene too.

As far as fact goes, doesn't matter if it's THEIR first sneak peek, they're just not the first ones. Honestly, what the hell are you guys getting worked up about?

OK. Not everyone has a subscription to Game Informer. Therefore, on at least one level this has it's own division. It's free and accessible by everyone. So there are a group of people who by clicking on this are getting, in fact, their first glimpse at the game.

Secondly, I find it very pretentious to quote the dictionary in a forum post. Additionally, I find the fact you bring this up a dick move. Granted, in some cases, it's necessary. The problem is that this isn't one of them. You've made a huge deal out of a tiny technicality. Then after insulting Silver Mirror, you have the nerve to ask why we're worked up.

          Capiche?

Secondly, I just pointed out the fact that the title was wrong...that was it. Silver Mirror decides to be a dick for some reason and I insult (keyword) BACK with an addition of making him look like a dipshit for making an unneccessary insult.

          With me so far?

Then YOU come along and then try to correct me with some irrelevant comment (with sarcasm too, imagine that). Then you have the balls to say that I'M the bad guy? You blind or you conveniently forget that I didn't start shit?

I wasn't meaning to be insulting. I was just pointing out the obvious. I guess the damn does look rather aggressive though, sorry about that.

So it is a mistake on Tyranitar's part as the actual site has it correct, we have seen this game before and we have seen it before in still images and text but this is the first video footage. so i would say this title should be "First video footage: Aliens Colonial Marines".

Yeah, I meant the first video footage of the game. It was my bad, thought everyone would know I was talking about a video.

Holy shit. I only said that GI had the first sneak peek...that's ALL I did. If you're gonna point fingers, point them at Silver Mirror, I didn't start this shit...jeezus *bleep*ing christ.

Yeah, but going around and cussing just because you got called a couple names doesn't help anything. Anyways, let's just drop it now. I said it was my bad, Silver apologized for coming off a little strong. No reason to continue arguing.

Oh right, remind me to turn the other cheek next time when someone else decides to do the same.

I wouldn't mind if it had the same gameplay mechanics as Doom 3 but im hoping its not a clone like Doom 3 but with a different skin on top.
I did read that the game would have the horror elements, like the scenes when the Aliens sneak up on the people and things like that. Also things like your squadmembers dying and intensifying the game, etc.

Im hoping that this game keeps the feel of Alien and Aliens as they were the best of the quad-trilogy =]..

I wouldn't mind if it had the same gameplay mechanics as Doom 3 but im hoping its not a clone like Doom 3 but with a different skin on top.
