Everyone's excited for the new Pokemon game called Platinum.

Like Yellow, Crystal and Emerald before it, it will be the third game of a series to wrap it all up nicely.

Platinum has had a lot of news recently, both truth and rumours. It looks to be a great third addition like Emerald was, but will it be?

"Everyone's excited for the new Pokemon game called Platinum."

I'm not. The lack of WiFi in the Underground on Platinum made me give up on it.

When I was bored and didn't feel like playing any of my other DS games, yes.

Oh yeah I saw that bit Avalith, must say that didn't impress me much either. I would still love to buy this though, I'd like to start another game but don't want to erase all my good stuff and I like some of the other new features.

The towns and fields really reminded me of LoZ: A Link to the Past. Did anybody else get this same vibe? I've never actually felt this while playing Diamond. Maybe seeing it onn a bigger screen or something.

Hell no. The franchise is too popular for that to happen anytime soon. That just means that it's this particular storyline's (or set, because the Pokemon games all had two simultaneous releases, followed by a separate add-on later) 'wrap-up,' like Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald.

True, but I remember reading somewhere once before that each generation of Pokemon was based off of a region of (I believe) Japan's mainland. Since they've already used four of the five, they're running out of inspiration for new regions in the Pokemon world.

No. The pokemon business is so great, and Nintendo won't stop selling them until they stop making money off of them...
