Thats a VERY old piece of news. Can't seem to find it on GameGrep, but as you can see from the Alt Source, it is from 4th September.

The original Times article and YouTube video were actually published before that (August 18th 2008). I think it's interesting and relevant enough to still be posted.

4th of September isn't VERY old. Relatively, quite old.I hadn't heard of it. And if it's not on GameGrep, why not?

That is pretty amazing work. If the title hadn't given it away, I'm not sure I would have noticed at first.

Well obviously they had to have an original motion actor to create that face, so technically "Emily" is real. This is just a CG rendition of her real face.

ANd isn't the rest of the body real? I can't tell.

The eyes gave away the fact that it wasn't real for me.

    It' still amazing though.

Well it's hard to tell, but if you were not told anything at all it could fool you. The only thing that could tell, is how some parts of the skin and face do not move together as one. The eyes . . . do give it away a little, but not as much as the mouth and cheeks to me.

I would have been fooled were it not for the title and text above the movie.

Can someone please explain why the title is Emily not real?
Yes I watched the video, but I don't see how it relates to the name.

The computer generated animation of Emily's face looks very real, but it's not.

And how is it not real?

It's not real because it's a computer animated graphic, not a real person.

Quite technically it is real, just not in the way an actual human is real.
Is that what you're getting at, Final Blade?

Now that's just being nitpicky and a little too philosophical

Like I said above, they had to have an original actor to make the animation, so technically Emily's real.

Well, Emily the person might be real, but the face on the screen is not showing the physical face of a live human being, but rather pixels
