Silent Hill: Homecoming's release is just a few weeks away, and here is the latest gameplay video showing protagonist Alex dispatching the various monsters that he will encounter throughout the game. It seems the "sexual" theme is back again, with quite a few monsters resembling the nasties that James came across in SH2. That may worry fans of the series, let's just hope there's a reason for it!

On the bright side, Alex shows more emotion than a certain previous Silent Hill protagonist who goes by the name of Henry Townshend. It's a relief seeing him react with more than a "what ... the hell?" when coming across these nasties.

    I would say that's an enticement to buy the game, but to be honest it doesn't look very nice at all. ;.;

    I think the developers are too stuck on the "Psychological/Past dysfunction" angle that SH2 brought. Yeah, that worked great, but it doesn't really mean it's the biggest thing here. Silent Hill can bring emotions (like suicide) to life, like SH3 did.

    Another thing is the lack of originality all around...but what the hell, I wasn't expecting much from these guys when I saw the first gameplay vid.
