But if you've played through the story of Assassin's Creed one time, then you've already seen this at least a hundred times over. This makes up about 90% of AC's playtime...
The edits were a nice touch, though.
Its pretty bad when combat is broken down in standing still and pushing the counterattack button.
The video was good but I was hoping to see him take on twenty or more soldiers, that's always fun.
I have a ridiculously high tolerance for doing the same thing over and over again, and I found this game insanely boring after a couple hours of playing it.
I only completed it because I thought the storyline was pretty cool, and I wanted more achievement points.
I honestly can't wait for the next one, though, because, like I said, I think the storyline is pretty cool.
I thought the fighting was horrible in AC1, though, personally. I could only deal with it by spending most of my time running through the city, which was the best part of the game, IMO. The controls for traveling were so fluid and easy and fun as anything. That's what they really did well in the game.
I know a lot of people complain about the "simple" combat system, but having watched different people play the game, I think those who complain simply haven't been able to grasp its complexities... or don't try to. The combat system has an easy learning curve, and I admit I don't utilize it as much as I could. There are different ways of fighting, such as offensive and defensive, and timing is very important. A few of the special kill animations are quite difficult to get more than once, if at all... and I suspect there are many people who haven't even seen all of these special animations when they point their fingers and accuse the system of being "flawed."
The game does require a lot of patience though. I know someone who exchanged the game after playing for an hour. For Call of Duty 4. Unlike many other stealth games, Assassin's Creed really DOES reward you for being sneaky and having excellent timing. When you charge in with guns blazing, the game can get that much more difficult.
I personally love to fight in that game.
On another note, AC was an amazing game, repetetive but amazing. The graphics were simply stunning, everything was beautiful, from the way his robe rippled during a sword fight, to the minute number of glitches. I'll be bummed if Ubisoft don't make a sequel.
Nice vid, skilled edits. I wish I could make gaming videos.
