This generation is looking to be strong in the survival-horror area, with games like Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill: Homecoming, and Fatal Frame IV being released in the next year or so.

    Great list! I'd just switch RE with Silent Hill, because I played Silent Hill when I was older and the RE series frightened me more. xD

    OMFG! I completely forgot about System Shock 2! SHODAN you hot MILF 4E! Wow, I may need to reinstall SS2 for the heck of it, and download that high-res texture mod... wow that was a great PC game... the forefather to Bioshock, Deus Ex and NOLF (No One Lives Forever)....

    Geez, am I showing my age? I feel like an old gamer.

    I'm just thrilled Resident Evil wasn't number 1 on the list. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the RE series. But in terms of actual horror, Silent Hill and Fatal Frame easily trump it in every sense of the word.

    Silent Hill was awesome. It freaked me out, I was pretty young though. However, I gotta say I think Silent Hill 2 was a bit more chilling.

    Hrm, I would still place System Shock 2 over Silent Hill, but that is just old school "holier than thou" PC gaming bias for the titles that paved the way for games like Silent Hill.
