The LittleBigPlanet Calculator

You've really not seen everything till you've seen someone create a working albeit basic calculator in LittleBigPlanet. Well what's good about that you ask? Well just take a look at HOW it was created and how it works, and you'll be more than amazed.

Check out the video below, and be sure that you wont be disappointed. It may look like simple addition... but behind the scenes lurks something far more complex.

    Wow . . . that's a lot of switches ha ha ha.

    I would never personally try to work on things like that because take a look at the thermometer. That thing alone takes up just about all of it. So, it's a level in it's own, but can't seem to be applied to something else.

    But, it's still pretty awesome to think of how someone actually made something like this from scratch

      the reason the thermometer is almost full is because the level stretches up pretty high. its not like building a calculator takes up all of your space.

        No the Thermometer is nearly full due to the complexity of the gadget. Not how high it goes. The height is limited by the "box" you are in when you make a level. The Thermometer goes up based on the number of items in your level, as well as how complex they are (complex as in surface area). So, in turn building the calculator WILL take up all your space, unless you can find a way to make it less complex.

        Also certain objects take up more space, and switches are one of those objects that take up a good bit (The emitter takes up the most, you can only fit less than ten if I recall when I was testing the size limits). That one has quite a few switches linked and such.

    These videos are pretty awesome, but it wasn't until I got the Beta code in my inbox that I was REALLY excited for this game.

    All these video of FFX and the calculator are cool, but I'd rather see possibilities at what can be done with the levels. I'm not going to buy this game to make calculators and drag a box to play a song.

      If you have been keeping up with LBP videos, you'd know that making levels can be pretty *bleep*ing diverse.

    I've seen LittleBigShadowColossus, but thats it if I can get a link or direction towards more level creations that would be great.

      Well I suppose you could always make those type of levels yourself.

    Wow, it was pretty cool when it just showed the calculator. But how complicated the whole thing was to actually work blew my mind.

    This is friggen amazing. Would have been a huge headache to make this.

    I hope I (we) can get this when the full game comes out, just to say "LOOKIT THIS MA! SEE WHAT THIS GAME CAN DO?" or something like that XD
