A look at some gameplay footage from the highly anticipated Call of Duty: World at War. From the video - it has been noted and accepted by most gamers that this essentially will be Call of Duty 4 in a World War II setting.

No arguments here.

I had doubts but the game play tells me otherwise.

im in the beta right now and its alot of fun, but its like a watered down version of CoD4 multiplayer. Im going to buy the game, but not on release day, maybe when it comes down in price. So far the multiplayer is a 8.5/10

No more than a rental for me. And even then, not until it comes down in price.

Tbh with you, with the mass of other multiplayer games coming out this holiday season, Namely Gears of War 2.

This game will just be a rental, its just COD4 in a world war 2 setting, thats it =/ looks just the same as ever.

Am I the only one that thinks it looks wang? I know it's just CoD 4 in WWII. It just doesn't look all that great. Only a rental.

Well for those of us WWII buffs this is kinda like a wet dream come true (I'm not gunna lie).

As long as they stay true to the majority of the details- I will be a happy camper, albeit I agree with all of you about the price, but I feel that way about all of this gen's games.

The industrial soundtrack suits it better than the typical "World War II music".

The other players seem totally incompetent compared to the player.

All in all, not anything new, not impressed, not buying. When we've got online games like Resistance 2 coming out, I can live with passing this up lol.
