Fallout 3: PS3 vs XBOX360 Comparison Video

That's right... it's yet another (somewhat dreaded by some) Comparison video showing the XBOX360 and PS3 version of Fallout 3 running side by side and the verdict is.... the same as usual, fanboys will see their console has the better graphics.

The neverending debate over which console makes prettier pictures continues with Bethesda’s epic Fallout 3. We’ve played a bit of each, scrutinized the footage, and now present you with our findings. For everyone who loves a good fanboy flame war, we’re sorry to say that neither console looks consistently better than the other. It truly comes down to which particular rock or building you happen to be looking at when you make your decision.

    The 360 obv looks better, I mean look at 0.3 the 360 has one moar pixle than the ps3 version, this clearly proobs tht the ps3 is shit and is a waste of spce.

      But seriously. They both look about the same. It's hard to tell much anyway since the video's not exactly the best quality and the two versions were recorded at different times of day in-game, somewhat giving the illusion that there is drastically different lighting. From what I can tell, though, they both seem to be about the same in quality. The only reason I got mine for 360 was because I got suckered into the DLC deal.

    from the looks of that video... they both look like shit.
    Seriously if people are gonna make these stupid ass comparison videos at least put it on a nice video player like the ones gametrailers has because my eyes can't tell the difference between crap 1 and crap 2

    Normally, these would annoy me. This time is a bit different though. About a week ago one of the Playstation magazines mentioned that the PC and 360 versions looked much better. So I was actually wondering about the difference myself.

      People who got the fact that he was dissing idiotic fanboys? Or maybe posting a comment disguising the fact that comparison vids suck and only fanboys care about the minute, if any difference?

      I thought so at moments as well, but I think it's actually the lighting from the time of day in-game that's making it appear clearer. This wasn't a very well-done comparison video, to say the least, and it looks as though the times of day on the versions were completely off, with the PS3 video being taken in a mainly mid-day setting and the 360 a bit closer to the evening.

    The 360's version looked MUCH better. I wonder if they are using the same connection methods and settings? Are they both using the HDMI connection and are the video settings the same? I find it hard to believe the difference can be that drastic. I couldn't read the sign on the PS3's version. Something doesn't seem right here.

    Neither version is at all superior. If you watch closely during both, the PS3 version the ground or the environments looks slightly(loosely) brighter then the 360, however the 360 sky looks slightly(again loosely)brighter. At the end of it all, on some area's of the game its completely opposite of each other but nothing that screams as they said consistently better to the other version. Once again another comparison video which not only proves yet again there is barely any consistent quality over another.

    I hate comparison videos. It just gives the opportunity for fanboys to say "lulz my cunselz pwnz urz lawl!".
    You can see the difference pretty easily, but at least for me it's hard to tell whcih i like most, PS3's water effects are better than the 360's, but the 360's view distance is better than the 360's.
