Mirrors Edge Goes Gold & EA Gives Us Launch Trailer

The demo for the game was released just a week ago and has seemed to spark the interest of many due to it's unique gameplay style and locale.

With the game to be released in less than a weeks time, it'll be good news for all to know that the game has now gone gold, and with the gold status, we've also got a new release trailer for the game which can be found below.

    Dudes I'd like to clarify a game going gold doesn't say anything about sales/pre-order numbers. I assumed otherwise until today. Apparently it just means the disc or what have you is finalized and pressed and ready to go.

        Actually it is the same. It just refers to the "gold master", which all further copies of the product are sourced from. A gold certification relates to sales.

    I'd have thought that people knew that the game going gold meant that they've checked the game for bugs and the likes and they've not been able to find anymore and so it's now being sent to the game copying plant that creates the many games that we buy...

    DAMMIT! I only have enough money for one game, its either between R2 or mirrors edge! I don't know what to get. I already pre-ordered ME to get the runners bag because I really wanted it. But I still want to play R2! AAAHHHHHH!!!!!

    BTW. Song is badass. Probably will come with the soundtrack.

    Yay Im not the only one really wanting that bag! Not that you asked for my little opinion, but I'd get Mirrors Edge. Theres nothing quite like it, and you can easily substitute your old FPS games to get prepped for Resistance 2. Sounds like a lame idea but like me, you sound like you want that bag so bad haha.

    Im really hoping the story and narrative is powerful in this title; it would truly propell this title to greatness further than what it looks to be set at now.

    Seems a bit late, It's releasing next week isn't it...usually things go gold like three weeks early.

    Good news in any case, and confirmed sequel already in the works.

    I'm happy as can be.

          Believe me, it works... go onto the top of a VERY high building, and look for some red railings... you can jump off them, and if you fall to the ground you'll just respawn on the top of the building

    Thats a unique style for a game...
    I just may get it.
    I feel bad fo the PS3..
    Only MGS4 and LBP really are the better games that are only for that console.
    Rest is for the 360 if not that then PC.

      Resistance, Resistance 2, Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, Ratchet and Clank:ToD, Uncharted, Folklore, Heavenly Sword. And to be fair, the PS3 has a better looking lineup compared to the 360 in 2009. Please refrain from posting comments which are uninformed, and make you look extremely imcompetent within the community. Stupidity is often tolerated here; but not to your extreme.

        That's his opinion and he's perfectly entitled to it. Like my opinion would be that not many games on the XBOX360 interest me, with the exception of say Halo and Fable series (no, not even Gears of War interests me). Thats my opinion, and I'm sure many XBOX360 owners would disagree.

        Please refrain from trying to memberate the comments made on GameGrep. If he doesn't like those games you mentioned, that's completely upto him. He should make it clearer, but you have to remember that not everyone will like the games that are released on the PS3/XBOX360.

          Make no mistake, Im all for allowing ones opinion to be expressed on GameGrep. For many, its the very reason why they post. But to blatently throw around information which is not very true, and failing to provide balance within arguments is really unethical, and I've seen it frowned upon on Gamegrep quite often. Double standards shouldn't apply. Hes allowed his opinion, but he could at least provide intelligent and logical perspective.

          And Im not telling him, I am merely asking him. I hold no power on these boards; so I cannot inforce it.

          Please refrain from taking a somewhat "mother" approach to my posts. Hes allowed to say what he wants, fair enough. But I am requesting in a round-a-bout way, that he provides more logical perspectives in his answers.

          However Krunal, I hold your opinions and perspectives in quite a high regard on GameGrep, so lets not argue. I guess, we agree to disagree yes?

          To keep on topic: The Launch trailer looks awesome! The draw distance looks incredible and the simplicity of the buildings and the content make it look unique and fun to play. Hope thats the case.

    You guys are babbling about nothing. I own a PS3 and I like it alot. I just feel bad for sony. Theyere not doing good financially. I grew up on sony.

      Yes and saying through out every article on gamegrep that "Sony sucks Bawls" And to that nature really makes you mature? Sorry I agree with Killosity, there's a difference with stating your opinion and making blatantly absurd statements that has nothing to do with the article as Raziel stated.

      @Krunal the problem with your comment is the fact that you have logical and intelligent reasons why you dislike the games 360 has, and you stating thats his opinion when its not properly written as one clearly debunks your point. He has yet to state anything of the sort. He bashes the PS3 and Sony throughout every article. Then makes statements like:

      Which states that those are the only good exlusives on the PS3, when you and most PS3 owners will be quick to deny that and list awesome exclusives. Had he say "those are the only two exclusives that I like" then I can pretty much see Killosity leave the comment alone.

          That's just one of the reasons why he hasn't brought the system, not many games interest him. And the PS3 has games he's interested in. There's probably more, but I can't quote them atm.
