Releasing worldwide on November 20th as a timed exclusive on the XBOX360, Square-Enix arenot pulling any stops with the advertisement of their latest RPG - The Last Remnant with trailers already hitting screens across Japan. Watch the video at the source.

      I haven't heard anything recently about the release date for the PS3. All I know from Akira_EX is that its a timed exclusive. Albeit its an old article, its the only thing I remember about it. And even the forum on the PS3 side says nothing about a confirmed or a known date for the game.

      If anyone has any recent or updated knowledge of the game I'd greatly appreciate it if you can post it.

        Simply put, they're not going to be releasing a release date for the game till it's been selling on the XBOX360 for a while. To do so would be counter-productive for the XBOX360, since at the moment people are thinking "Hmmm... it may be a year+ so I might as well get it for the XBOX360 now", whereas if they do release a release date some may think "Hmmm... it's only releasing in a few months time with additional content (you know it will be) I might as well wait for that version".

          Which for a business stand point would be stupid, I mean look at Bioshock? Not only did they not stated anything official with the game being made for PS3, they also made it with additional content. Either way, people will see know they're going to be making some additional content for the PS3. Its inevitable.

          The only thing I'd understand for the reasoning behind it is MS wants the sales for the game now, so that no one would want it for the PS3 like Bioshock. Most 360 owners didn't care about it going multiplatform stating "We had it for a year, so it doesn't matter".

          How is it a bad thing from a business stand point? It's all the same to them. If they don't release the news of it coming to the PS3 instantly they're able to get more money from people who decide to buy it sooner. That's cash-in-hand right now than a possible sale XXX months later, when maybe another big-name game comes out, and they wont want this game at that point.

          And let's not forget the number of people that buy the game for both consoles is quite high, and so they're able to get those sales as well.

          And yes, it would be Microsoft that paid them to make it exclusive (no game company would make that decision themselves, unless they decided to make the game a lot later on, and can't possibly release it together) and they'd have paid them to hold out on the PS3 version for a set amount of time.

          I meant for the developers not MS Krunal. If they spoke out that PS3 version will be releasing this date, more people would probably be getting hyped up for that date to buy it. Not stating when now, is just not going to get much hype for anyone wanting a release date for the PS3. MS doesn't matter in this category.

          But they do announce it's release a long time BEFORE release. It just happens that the release is also a LONG TIME AFTER the release of the game on the X360. I honestly don't see this game being released before next christmas... honestly...

          They'll get nothing at this point announcing that it'll be released in a years time, because something may come along and they may have to bump it up or down. And then we'll always have the ever present "OMG WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE RELEASE DATE". It's better for the developer to announce it a couple months in advance rather than a year in advance, and believe me, we'll know about this game's release date for the PS3 a couple months in advance for sure.

          Well personally Im not really pumped up for the game atm. FF13 and FF13v is the only exception to the rule. I need to have more info about it then just "oh it'll be ported at one point". I need some short of estimation of what they're shooting for. Otherwise I may not be able to get it if lets say God of War 3 shows up or something. Cause then I'll get far too orgasmic over that to care about This game.

    If they're lucky I won't have forgotten about this game by the time it releases on PS3.

      I don't think anyone will forget about this game, since it's been receiving a lot of good reviews, I can expect this game to get quite a bit of hype when it comes out on the PS3 (eventually).

        I thought the game wasn't out yet, how could it get good reviews? I haven't seen a single one.
