You may remember when it was first announced that the existing DS homebrew cartridges would not work with the DSi. Well Acekard has created the first working DSi Homebrew cart. Named the Acekard 2i - it promises to work with the DSi, as well as the DS, while retaining all the functionality of the existing carts.

And yes, it will run Linux, as well as a slew of other homebrew applications.

Acekard Team has released a new version of their excellent flash cart that works on the Nintendo DSi. The Acekard 2i retains all the functionality of earlier flash carts, including the ability to run homebrew and backups, as well as store save files and use Action Replay codes. The new card is even compatible with earlier versions of the DS in addition to the DSi.

I really don't care about homebrew.
I mean sure the thought of playing SNES and genesis classics on a PSP is cool, but hardly anything to wet yourselves over.

There's the hackers again. I don't think there will ever be an unhackable game system. Anyways, this will help a lot of people.
