New Uncharted 2 trailer!

The second trailer promised for VGA is out, and boy does Uncharted 2: Among Theives look fine, blood, environment and character models all looking brilliant. Drake seems to have gotten himself into a spot of trouble in this particular video, a train perched on the edge of a cliff, nothing he shouldn't be able to handle though.

    I thought this trailer wasn't that good. Didn't show much of anything. Compared to the 2 trailers I wanted to see in VGA, God of War 3 was totally superior to Uncharted 2.

      It didn't have to it showed the graphics which are probably the best in a game yet cause all that is in-game. I can imagine the game starting right where he drops hanging there and it's up to the gamer to see the brand new climbing mechanics to climb out of it with debris falling all around you. That trailer was great, God of War 3 to me was a let down as it had unfinished textures and didn't look like the best looking game ever like it was hyped, i mean Killzone 2 looks better and we all know that game hides its appaulingly low res textures behind 16 layers of incredible atmosphere to make itself look great.

        I disagree entirely, we don't even know if that is the opening sequence it could be entirely different. Even still tells me little. All this shows me is "Wow nice graphics but nothing else"
        God of War showed combat play, showed the hordes of enemies on Kratos, Showed Gauntlets of Zeus, Show him beating the shit out of a cyclops. And fighting a centaur here.

        The graphics is still loads better then God of War 2, but the point of that trailer was to show gameplay and it succeeded. Sorry but 30 seconds of gameplay for God of War 3 rapes Uncharted 2 by miles. No combat play or anything.
        The other thing is, the trailer isn't what Jaffe saw, what he saw was probably a more polished looking version. And sure saying Killzone 2 looks good is out of place cause that is actually close to a FINISHED PRODUCT. God of War 3 trailer could be seen as a mini teaser to a full trailer.
        Even Jaffe said the trailer which was going to be shown at the VGA's was awesome and beautiful. Sorry, I don't believe or accept the "god of war 3 wasn't great" when the man himself who has made God of War was impressed with that trailer.

    Neither of them showed much, tbh. Was disappointed, but atleast this one has more footage than the GoW3 trailer. (15, 20 sec?)

    Anyway, this has only encouraged my to get Uncharted: DF. I'll get that this month.

    I thought it was a pretty bad trailer. Sure it showed the graphics, but it really didn't show much of anything.

      The point of this trailer was top be more a cliff hanger and try and make the audiance guess "what did drake do to get in this mess?"

    It's a world premier trailer, not suppose to show all the bits and pieces. More or less its suppose to get you interested, and seeing those graphics sure got me interested, all game cutscenes are done by in game graphics in uncharted. So seeing that just gets me excited.

    GOW3 trailer looked good too, they were showing off gameplay, but they chopped it up so bad you really couldnt tell what was what.

    So you mean that an action trailer that shows little bits and pieces of incoherent fighting to be the end-all-be-all. Perhaps you understand it more than I do because as far as I'm concerned...that trailer really didn't show off much that the other games haven't delivered. You can't say "But Gauntlets of Zeus!", that was in Chains of Olympus anyways. And the graphics are hardly any different from GoW2.

    Best thing you CAN do is to stop comparing apples and oranges.

      I didn't say But Gauntlets of Zeus, if you read I said "ITS SHOWED the gauntlets of Zeus". Meaning it had more stuff at the end of the day then Uncharted. All that trailer was is literally a cutscene clip, while awesome looking, shows us literally NOTHING. Which was my point. I was more let down with that trailer and more impressed with God of War. Have you actually seen the photo's from the trailer? It looks beautiful and quite superior to God of War 2 alone. Hell I even linked a photo in my response above. All the people claiming to be let down by the trailer, when Jaffe himself said the trailer is awesome and quite beautiful isn't valid. I knew what to expect from the trailer, jaffe said so himself. I wasn't let down, in fact I was let up, it was more then what the teaser trailer at E3 showed.

        Well I don't understand why apparently Jaffe's opinion > Everyone else's opinions. Secondly, I don't see how premature graphics and incoherent action scenes just HAVE to dominate, because I've seen most of the action in the other games. Last but not least, there's really no problem with liking one over the other...AS LONG as you don't have to PISS all over the other one; it's not hard to do.

    THe trailer shows us the graphics, which were better then GOW3's. Not that graphics matter to much, but it does matter to some people. I like my games to be pretty. And while GOW3 had gameplay, it was to choppy that you really couldnt get anything from it.
