Zero Punctuation: Sonic Unleashed

Yahtzee goes in depth with the new Sonic Unleashed, describing it as "gameplay he would expect from a *bleeping* ROM hack... designed by Hitler"

All in all, you cannot expect anything less from Yahtzee at this point, but he really gives it to Sonic Unleashed, commenting on how there are no talented members of Sonic Team left.

    He is sort of right. The Sonic games have become more and more tedious throughout the years and whats worse is that another Sonic game is set for release next year.

    He's generally always right, he never says anything that isn't justifiable, the thing is he's often incredibly harsh.

    Funny how the only good Sonic game that came out recently was a game that turned Sonic in to a turned based game and took away the thing that Sonic does: run really fast.

    sega needs a new plan on how to develop GOOD sonic games.

    NEEDS MOAR MARI---- err......

    Heres a thought sega, instead of releasing some cheesy old sonic game yearly, take your time dare I say more than 6 months in development??

    Make sure to check for any BUGS (which became the sonic trademark in his 3d games)

    And care more about the actual quality of the game rather than the money you can make of it.

    Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure I and II are where segas games pretty much got worse, althoughSonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure I and II were really good

      You're right there. The sonic hero games were completely rubbish and a waste of time.

    As crazy as this may sound, I wouldn't mind them trying another 2D game for improved platforming. Just stick it with great graphics and plenty of levels so it isn't seen as too much of a previous-gen game. Mario's slower gameplay fit 3D well, while Sonic has only had a game or two that has been good in 3D.

    The game was one of his best recent ones... with Black Knight and the Sonic Rush series backing him up, he'll do fine. ^.^

    Sonic rush games were pretty good, although I think they need to make another Sonic game like Sonic Adventure 1 with gameplay like Sonic Adventure 2 with more exploration, awesome battle mode, online play, great storyline etc. I have a good story line for Sonic Adventure 3 if it ever came out. I called it Sonic Adventure 3: Chaos is Paralell. It's about sonic and his friends including the bad guys, against clones of themselves. I think another fighting game like Sonic the Fighters would be awesome a well.
