If you own both a Playstation 3 and an Xbox 360 and have no idea which version of Resident Evil 5 to buy, then this video might help you...

... But then again, it probably won't. Both versions look amazing.

From the demo, is this what it has come down to? I mean the demo isn't a representation of the final games quality, can't people wait or better yet why do we even need comparisons? I mean IGN does them all the time to the point where they don't even try, i mean Saints Row 2's latest shows footage at totally different times of day, in completely different areas at times, they don't work.

The demo is hard as hell, not enough ammo lying around, and the axe weilder is scary as heck...

    I guess that's why it's called a survival horror...

It's a freaking demo, you actually think there's going to be more ammo?

Also it's not a survival horror redneonfish. It's an action game, with horror aspects, or so they say.

And why are we know comparing demo's? I mean have people stoop that low?

Why would there be less ammon in a demo than in the full game?

        I don't get it.

Haha, my bad then FB. I always assumed that's the genre they advertised it under "Survival Horror". I realise that since RE4, it's become more action orientated, but I didn't they'd go all out and say it's action? Sucks if it has, there's not enough survival horror games as it is.

I'm pretty sure Capcom still advertise RE as "survival horror" (they coined the term for the RE series after all), even though the series has gone down a more action-oriented route recently.

But if it's true that there is a lack of ammo in the game then - HELLZ YESSS!! One of RE4's biggest problems was the abundance of ammo lying around. It made the game ridiculously easy. I'm glad that seems to have been taken away.

Wait, wait wait... when did the PS3 demo come out? I thought the demo was available only for JAP 360.

I might be straining my eyes, but the PS3 version looks a little bit darker to me. Will this feature off-line Co-Op?

yes there will be... when i was watching it the ps3 version looked a bit brighter imo i guess that shows how similar they are.. good work capcom

The 360 looked darker to me as well. Which pretty much shows you both have no differences, even I pick up the subtle ones and this one didn't show them off well. It's not like other comparisons where they have a white line in the middle separating them. It looks like a mess of a comparison video.

      But ultimately neither is different.

*bleep* this shit. I was at E3 and saw them playing the game on both the 360 and PS3 side by side. It looked about the same, and that's good enough for me.

I'll be getting it for Xbox360 because for me, Achievements are better than Trophies. Im in love with the 360 controller as well. Nothing to do with graphics, and I kinda wish there would be more comparions beyond graphics in these articles...

Seriously stupid considering they are the same damn thing, trophies and achievements the only difference is one give you more points and the other gives you shiny things to look at...

Achievements better than trophies? I know this comes down to taste and all but how can two identical items, but shown in a different way, one being better? I mean hows does anyone get kicks and like number based points? How does that satisfy anyone? Trophies for me is superior cause it actually is a medal that I'd probably get irl if I done awesome things like getting first place. It reminds me of physical rewards.

      Remember when Killosity said:

Or how about when he said:
      quote

Ring any bells? 'Tis the season, after all.

Neither of you own a 360 (not attacking you guys here, btw), so you can't really judge his decision like that...I have both consoles as well, and I can say I'm getting it for the 360 because of the same reasons. If you need a deeper explanation, it's because the achievements bit seems more satisfying. The little tune that plays when you unlock an achievement (not to mention that it shows a trophy as part of the unlock) is catchy, whereas with the PS3, I barely notice when I earn a trophy. With the PS3 though, I don't worry about the trophies. I just have fun and if I unlock one, I don't pursue the others like I do with the 360. Don't know if that makes sense.

Meh, my real reason for getting this game would be for the Co-Op...though I'm going to have a very hard time calling it Resident Evil. I much prefer the older games.[/nostalgic] They took out most of the horror parts and turned it into an action game.

No, it doesn't make sense. I don't understand how Achievements can be more worth getting just because of the pic it gives you.

But that's for you, and even though I don't understand your angle on this, I'm fine with it.

I didn't say it was the pic it gave me that made it more "worth" it. I mentioned to Final Blade that it's technically a trophy as well...it's more that little jingle than anything else as to why I prefer it.

Storm I may not own a 360, that doesn't mean I don't know what the achievements look like. I know quite well about them. The point I was making was, both are identical just shown differently. As for the medal aspect, I was speaking about why I like them. As I said, previously which you didn't read:
        quote
I know this comes down to taste and all....

    I cant tell a difference.

But why split screen it, its not like you can watch both AT THE SAME TIME.

Someone having an opinion is not stupid. Prehaps I should have said, because they are for the Xbox 360, a superior console in my opinion because they actually have a decent library and there is a higher amount of games with Achievements on it. But then again I dont wanna start one of those ever so common tedious arguments on these boards.

I also said "for me" anyway, so I fail to understand how my opinion can be questioned.

Because Achievements feature on my favourite console.

    ( sowwy Ps3 baby much luv <3 )
