Dead or Alive Online video

Never knew Dead or Alive was coming to PC? Well, it is! Sometime...Apparently it was supposed to come worldwide following the 2008 Beijing Olympics but as of yet has only seen a closed beta, which appears to be China-only for now.

In any case, Siliconera has spotted a video of the game in action. The "hub" portion of the game looks like complete garbage probably, but the rest is alright, no?



Remember the saccharine sweet trailer for Dead or Alive Online? The final game doesn’t look much like the teaser video. Shanda got around to putting Dead or Alive Online into closed beta status in China and it’s the Dead or Alive we know with a hub world. After making a cute avatar you can challenge others to regular Dead or Alive combat with Kasumi and friends. Neat if you wanted vanilla Dead or Alive, but I was hoping for something novel.

    Oh come on, Ryu, I know you can do better than that. <_<

    Looks decent enough, but if I ever get into this (if it's released here), I'm using my 360 controller to play. Fighting games on the PC have been quite awkward.

      Well no one expects anyone to use the keyboard -- that'd just be odd.
