Two barnd new gameplay videos of inFamous have been released from CES '09. The first video shows off Coles electric powers and the second all the mayham he creates in an undergorund tunnel. This game will be perfect for electricity addicts.

During the CES 09 convention yesterday, Sucker Punch released two new gameplay videos for inFamous showcasing Cole's electrifying powers. It seems players will have quite a powerful arsenal of moves in inFamous, from throwing exploding globes of electricity to a force blow that sends cars and enemies into the air.

Check out the two gameplay trailers below.

Videos look awesome, but now I'm worried that the gameplay will seem more like a TPS except with electricity rather than guns and bullets

I like action/adventure, hero games, not shooters. So My hopes are for this game, but the videos and the way the person was playing it, made it feel more like a TPS.

I really don't think it's a 'shooter,' I think they're just showing off those powers. I've seen a lot of other gameplay with platforming, and the karma system is definitely welcome in this kind of game.

It is a 3rd person shooter with sandbox elements, just because he doesn't have guns doesn't mean he's not shooting things.

That's what I'm saying. I don't like shooter games. So the thought of this game that is supposed to lean more toward action/adventure, hero type of game, yet being more like a 3rd person shooter, lets me down a little

I don't see it as a third person shooter at all. I don't see why people are making the comparisions. It has shooting elements, targeting system etc, but its not a true shooter. and seriously how can you not expect an action adventure game without any shooting elements? you wanna throw rocks at enemies?

You'd still be shooting rocks in third person. A lot of things can be interpreted as a TPS.

There's plenty of climbing, it's not all shooting!

Saw the two videos yesterday, plenty of great new stuff shown. Things are looking good for Infamous!

That looks like it could get repetitive. Hopefully there's something in there that keeps it fresh, because I don't want to spend the whole time launching electricity at hordes of what seem like red-hoodied gangster clones.

It's a small dose of gameplay that shows 3 variant attacks, with a game that is based around electricity you can expect so many other moves and attacks. Not to mention that each ability can be leveled up, the enemies will change and the way you play affects the story and even the way the game ends. At the end of the day there will be a lot more to do than seen in the videos.

Idk which one I'm more interested in, Prototype or Infamous. They both look good but both look repetitive.

      LoL

Agreed. I was sorta worried about the gameplay mechanics of this game because ever video I saw, the person playing the game...well, sucked. That made me think Cole sorta sucked or the game didn't handle properly. But these videos made me excited about the game all over again.

Looks good hopefully the controls and gameplay won't let it down.
