Did anybody else think his voice sounded weird in this one?
    • 0
      Koloth Jan 22, 09
His voice was the same it was his pronounciation that was weird. I got the impression that he was trying to do the whole thing in a really bad and unrecognizable accent and failing miserably. Probably because his Aussie accent was overriding whatever unrecognizable accent he was trying to do.

He was trying to do a south African accent.

          Koloth Jan 22, 09
That would make sense. It was the worst attempt an an accent I have ever heard but funny none the less.

        Errr...

        He's from Coventry, England.

I don't give a crap, he lives in Austrailia same difference.
Like I'm that caught up in the guys life to care where he was born.

Australia is not even close to England, especially in terms of accents.

I had three people mistake my Australian accent for British on Resistance 2 this morning Ameer, they aren't too different to outsiders evidently.

Actually, so long as they are both using proper english and not slang the accents sound very similar. Getting upset about it is completely moronic. I wouldn't give a damn if someone couldn't tell the difference between a Texas accent and a Georgian accent. I wouldn't even care if you couldn't tell the difference between Georgian and Boston.

          Makes absolutely no friggin difference.

The Australian accent is as close to Yahtzee's English accent as it is to an American accent.

Maybe, if you're British, and actually give a crap.

Australian and English accents are pretty close. There may be a difference in them slightly but for the most part they are close. Hunskelper, stop arguing over something as insignificant at this.

          I wasn't arguing.

An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a contrary proposition.

          What I did was educate.

          Koloth Jan 22, 09
No, education requires learning on the part of the educated. I learned nothing. They still sound similar and I still don't give a crap.

No idea what the accent was (a satirical British one maybe?) but it made me laugh, and that's all that matters.

He was trying to mimic the accent that the npcs use.

Count on Yahtzee to give us an entertaining review.

Well, I class it more as a rant myself, but its still a good watch.

bahahah. What's all this nuts about his South African accent? It was supposed to suck. Tres funny review. Although evidently he hasn't seen the genius that's come out of LBP.

He's an Engish born Aussie...how hard is that to process through your heads ¬_¬

Anyway yeah his accent made me laugh but also go "wtf" at the same time

Btw what genius is in LBP to start with? It's just Sony's cheap and tacky way of giving PS3 users an editing tool. Want a proper editing tool...get a PC game ¬_¬

I'm not having a problem with that at all. I just feel like being a dick about it because it amuses me to watch people get upset over a simple mistake. If people weren't getting upset about it I would quit prodding them.

I think Yahtzee liked the game. It's always tough to be sure with him, but that was my impression.

Its hard to tell if he likes a game or not most of the time >_>

      The Dave Jan 23, 09
I'm guessing that's the point. I found myself thoroughly confused at the end of the game as to whether it was worth it. Sure it killed a few hours but it wasn't particularly fulfilling.
