Persona [PSP] trailer

If you haven't heard, the first Persona game will be coming to the PlayStation Portable, though it is Japan-only for now. It's not clear yet whether or not it'll be an enhanced port or a full-out remake, but either way this could be great news for Persona fans. Judge for yourself with the trailer below...

One thing I wonder is how Persona will be received here if Atlus USA localizes it. Since Persona 3 came out the series has gotten a lot of attention, but the first Persona game is a different beast. You still control a group of high school kids, but the Social Link system and modified Press Turn battles aren’t present. Persona feels more like classic Shin Megami Tensei since you can communicate with demons in battle and dungeons are explored from a first person perspective.

    I never played the first Persona(was introduced to MegaTen afterwards) so really looking forward to this release, especially to see how the series started/evolved.

    Also hearing the trademark hymn at the end of the trailer gave me chills... (the tune you usually hear when dealing with Igor, so awesome)

    To be honest, I think P3 and P4 looks like more fun than this. P3 was simply awesome, and P4 isn't any worse. This looks... Kind of boring. =/
