Who am I kidding. Of course he's not...Concept art is awesome too.
Not that it'll prevent me from buying anyway.
From what i've heard as well, the start of the game actually differs to things you chose in your previous games, such as if you let ashley or the other guy live, or shot wrex in the head etc =D
So *bleep*ing stoked about this.
I spent a week leveling my character in Mass Effect 1 to level 60 and getting him the Spectre Master Gear and it took another month to get 1,000 achievement points !!! Shepard can't be dead !!!
I almost cried when that message appeared on the screen.
The whole idea of a teaser trailer is to tease you into wanting to know more...
I've noticed that the Geth at the end looks a lot mroe polished. It's probably because the clip is prerendered, but I'm holding out hope that it's just as crisp in the game (as well as holding out hope Shepard's alive)
Ok now I'm officially hyped.

OH MY GOD.
Words cannot describe...just how happy I am to see a trailer...
CAN NOT COMPUTE NOW TERMINATING
Mass Effect was long as hell. If you went to every planet and completed every possible side-quest and dialogue option, one playthrough takes a looooong time. As if you want all the achievements ...
Took me like ages to do it.
Can't wait for the sequel...all I ask for now, is a solid release date.
Cannot wait to see improvements on what is already pure perfection in the RPG genre.
So I'd say yeah, Shepard is dead.
And i welcome a multi-disc game and couldn't care if i have to get up and take half a minuter out of my gaming to change discs.
This is going to be awesome.
Still, I'm pretty happy.
For example you have choices in the first game to kill certain important people within the story, it just wouldn't make sense if there suddenly alive. It would just create too big of a plot hole. The continuation feature was planned in advanced and was in mind when they were making the first one.
So I would safely assume it is going to be in place. They would have to change the whole story for it to be right, like EVERYTHING.
It worked perfectly then.
Or they don't even have to go down that route, just make it do a random choices in the beginning or just have it set to one type of choices.
There was an end game spoiler from Mass Effect there. I figured shouldn't be on an article about the sequel, since many people may not have played the first one who would be interested in picking it up.
Everyone THINKS you are dead but you were in an explosion/gunned down and now you have to rebuild your body (giving you the option of taking the one from your previous game save)
Sort of like saints row.
GOTY.
I want gangbangs on the Normandy this time.
