I just wish the Elite had a more worthy 3rd feature to highlight in commercials.
Nice ACDC reference though.
Granted, it gave a darn sight more information than any PS3 advert out there, but I still think it could have been done so much better... or could it? Your average gaming consumer isn't going to give a rat's ass about 'Pure HDMI', simply because they won't appreciate what it is. So after the HDMI port and 120GB harddrive you don't have much else to talk about...
Also, 'Feed your high-def appetite'? With what? There is no in-built HD-DVD player; the console itself cannot deliver you the High Definition movie experience. I'm not having a dig at the Xbox, because it's an amazing system, but this whole XBox 360 Elite kaffufle is just plain ridiculous.
Anytime a 120GB drive is described as 'massive', I get turned off, but then I'm an IT guy so I tend to have a different view of the world.
And I agree with redemption. listing a black finish as a feature is pushing it. Does the casing really make a product "elite"?
While the word massive in this commercial doesn't apply to the home pc drives we may be used to, it absolutely does so for console gaming. If I was making that commercial, I would also want would-be buyers to know they are getting the biggest HDD available out of the bunch.
saying "it has the biggest HDD available for consoles at 120 GB" or something is much more impressive that just saying it has a 120 GB drive. At least to me.
