As confirmed just a matter of hours ago, the Mercenaries minigame will be making a return in Resident Evil 5. With that in mind, we bring you a couple of hi-definition videos showing off this content.

You can view 'em in fullscreen through the game's profile page below if you prefer.

What I want to know is, does Mercenaries have online? That'd be pretty cool.

I assume not as Capcom hasn't stated as such in their press release.

Meh, I kinda figured that this would be in here. Due to it's popularity in RE: 4 and all.

Personally, I'm not a big fan but, it was always fun nonetheless.

I hope there are a lot more characters...

I wouldn't mind playing as Leon or Krauser again. They were my favorite characters to play as in RE4's Mercenaries mini-game. Wesker was also pretty cool, and I'm fairly confident that at least he will return as a playable character.

I've not unlocked anyone yet, but so far it looks like the following are in it:

Chris, Sheva, Chris (alt costume), Sheva (alt costume), Wesker, Hunk and Jill.

Those are the ones I can recognise from silhouettes. There may even be 2 alt costumes for Chris and Sheva, if there is the final character is a woman.

        That's awesome!

Thanks, man. You've just added a little boost to the game for me. I want it a little more now.

Looks harder, and does the time disappear when you kick it?
Playing as Wesker would be cool. He would make a good Krauser replacement for sure.
