New FUEL Trailer: The Weather Is Your Enemy

One thing that sets FUEL apart from other off-road racers is its weather system. The weather in this game is your enemy and can effect you. How do you plan on winning a race while a tornado is chasing you?

    I love how the whole world is basically in an apocolyptic setting, so humanity has nothing better to do, than race. But whatever, i'm really tempted to get this game, looks bloody awesome.

    Ah darn, I was under the impression that it was a free-roaming type of racing game (sort of like Burnout, only even more open).

    So much for that....

      It is a free-roaming game. You just enter in races when you come across them in the game world. Some are waypoint races, others are circuit races etc. When the race is over, you can go wherever you like.

        Ah, so you can go offroad then? Drive around in places like dried up riverbeds, flattened forests and the like?

          Yessir. It's just when you enter a race, you're a tad more limited outside of waypoint races. But as I said, after the race is over, you can basically go wild. It's like the Freeburn challenges in Burnout Paradise; you enter a challenge by spinning your tires at a set of lights, and then you do the challenge, but when it's over, you're free to do what you like.

      Will there even be tornadoes? I know that it is mentioned in the article, but I didn't see one in the actual video.

        Tornadoes were throughout the whole thing, how did you miss them?

        This game looks amazing, tornadoes + video games = awesomeness.
