Halo 2 vs. Halo 3 Multiplayer Comparison

gdog2011 | May 18, 2007 | Video | XBOX 360

This video shows the differences between Halo 3 and its most recent predecessor, Halo 2, in multiplayer. The graphics don't seem to have changed too awfully much, but some of the weapons look neat. Please note that the Halo 3 multiplayer is still in Beta and many changes can yet be made before its September release.

Magnificent. The best multiplayer combat of all time.

    Ridiculous.

Disregarding the fact that the graphics are going to be improved greatly before launch, it looks significantly bette than Halo2. Very shiny.

Only real complaint about it is that the some of the sound effects are a little lacking (BR and AR sound too soft), and there's a bit of lacking in different gametypes/matchmaking types. You can't have it all, but you can only play Team Sayer on Snowbound so many times...

The main thing I got out of this video was that the person filming can't aim dual SMG's for shit. Other than that, gameplay seems to still be the same.

Not a great deal of difference as of now, but noticable in terms of graphics. Gameplay-wise, I was expecting it to be a little different (but obviously not too different or that would make it a different game altogether).

I wasn't expecting much a change in multiplayer as well. Judgin from the video and what I've heard from friends who have played it so far, I was right. It looks great though.

The vidoc on Live has me pretty pumped as well.
