Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time debut teaser trailer!

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time was only announced yesterday, but already a teaser trailer has been released by Insomniac. This trailer shows little in the way of info for the most part, though it reinforces time is going to be a big factor in the game. The real gold is at the end however, when we see the speaker is... a Lombax! Does this mean the race has returned from their exile? Is this one related to Ratchet? Will he be friend or foe? Only time (no pun intended) will tell.

    oh man! I bet I know what it is. Ratchet goes and gets some lombaxes to build a time machine or something and . . . . yeah that is all I can guess!

    Let's hope that lombax they showed was not ratchet himself messed up by time (older or something)

    Oh man (another comment that was lost and has to be re-entered!) I think I may know what happens . . . Ratchet fixes the dimensionator and gets the lombaxes. He needs them (or one or a few warriors) to build a time machine. And . . . yup that's all I got.

    I just hope that's actually NOT ratchet messed up by time that they showed (you know, older, war-torn, something like that)!

      Maybe he'll have to fight an old rival whose mind has been conditioned so he believes he's his evil twin, as well as being old.

      Yeah they did, but they explained a lot of things about other lombaxes in Tools of Destruction.

    Lombaxes (aside from Ratchet) were extinct a while ago, no?

    This game revolves around time, no?

    So it only makes sense that the Lombax is from back in time, maybe brought to the future or who you meet in the past, no?

      Not exactly. They fled to another dimension as Tachyon said at the end of ToD. They aren't dead, just somewhere else. Wonder how Time will play into their resurfacing...

    I just hope this time the game is like the PS2 R&C's. ToD was okay, but I didn't like it because of the sole fact that Ratchet was far too nice compared to the other games. Honestly I miss the old Ratchet.

    And does anyone else think that the "Crack in Time" part of the new logo looks horrible? Honestly it looks like crap IMO. They'd better change it. BTW I hope IG doesn't start getting really cheesy with the R&C - That's the kind of vibe I'm getting right now. I do not like the direction they are taking this time.

    Looks much more story oriented now. And I Have a hunch that is ratchets dad, just a hunch.

    And I don't think all the lombax are instinct? Didn't they mention that they left to some other dimension or something like that?

    I agree with you too shattered, logo doesn't look that great.

    Edit: Also I noticed they added something that I am glad they did, I was hoping it would be in TOD, but it wasn't, and if this wasn't CGI, then im glad they added it. Which is the different strands of hair on the lombax, I think that makes it so cool.

    Hopefully this tops the last one! Looks like it could really be a very compelling game.

    (and hopefully the critics don't get all weird on it either )

    Hope it's as long as the last game. Quest for booty was a good filler for for showing where clank went

      I don't think ToD was that long - IMO the first R&C was the longest, or so it seemed.

    Wow. And when I thought the series couldn't get any better - more Lombaxes!! This is definitely gonna be a killer game. Can't wait to see more of it.

    I wonder if we'll get to go back to previous R&C games with this "Time Machine"

      Wouldn't that be a little odd though? It would essentially be a PS3 remake of them - I'm sure as heck not complaining about that though
