New Prototype Trailer Tells Its Story

Aside from all the chaos and destruction, there is a story to Prototype. Prototype finds you playing the character of man who ha forgotten in past, dazed and confused he finds that he has super powers. Powers that can cause complete destruction and mayhem upon the city. Now he must use his powers to find out about his past, and how he received these powers.

    Ugh...Prototype is starting to look like a smaller Hulk w/ Venom-like features. Still probably worth a rental.

    The dudes parkour abilities are really somthing. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on this.

    Nah. It's just started falling behind Infamous. It's beginning to look more and more ridiculous, but not in a good way. Granted, some things sound good, like the disguises, and jumping around impossibly would be cool... for a while. The animation is choppy, the gameplay looks confusing and there doesn't seem to be much point to the game. Revenge quest- It's been done.

    The city design and graphics seem half assed; they look flat. There doesn't seem to be much direction either.

    I like that story. I don't care how many times it's been done as nothing is original anymore. For me i think that premise is a good enough idea for me to go out there and raise hell. For me i just like the concept and so many games these days are about making it hard for the gamer, by taking all the fun away as a means to force them to progress to get the fun stuff. I just want to start with the fun stuff even if i get bored after 16 hours, it'll be so much fun while it lasts, thats what i want.

      Well, GTAIV was also fun while it lasted, but you don't see anyone racing to replay it.

        Well for me GTA IV was never fun and there was nothing to play for to make it fun, just the false illusion of progression and the hope on many gamers parts that the GTA of old would show up and blow the boredom away. Already just through the gameplay i can see Prototype being fun, but i am not under the illusion it will stay fun for long, though i also don't expect the story to last much longer than 14 hours so in theory if i am right it should be fun from start to finish which is what i want. Just some mindless fun that isn't too short and isn't too long just very fun.
