With most collapsing developer studios we get to see a peek of just what they were developing. As Free Radical showed us Star Wars Battlefront 3 we are now getting some footage of Duke Nukem Forever from 3D Realms. It could be fake, but looks solid enough to be gameplay. Not exactly worth almost a decade of waiting is it though?

Wow that game actually seemed pretty good but it could never match Duke Nukem II.

I loled when the guy pushed the switch and the door closed on the other guy. xD

...epic fail. Ten years of waiting and praying, then not only are we not getting it. But the IT in question is pretty lame. That not better have been close to finished.

It still looks like the game was in it's very early stages...which is pretty sad. Still, would buy it for Duke's one-liners. XD

Seriously, what the hell's happening with the making of this game? The gameplay, locations and AI don't look any more detailed or difficult in comparison to other first-person shooters. So why's it taking so long to make?

The only thing I can assume is that either employees kept getting shuffled around (or leaving) or the studio kept starting over, not happy with what they had in previous builds.

As for what was shown, I kinda liked it. The new pigs (are they still cops?) moved very well, and were still as seen in the warehouse scene.

I still wish this game it was releasing in some form.

I'm easily pleased (and damn proud of it) so I would buy this game.

I don't get the negativity - I would definitely purchase this, and generally speaking, I buy about one FPS game a year, and that's in a market saturated with them.

The movement of the enemies was incredible in some sections there, they clearly put a lot of thought into the character animations. I'd love to see another studio pick up on this.

Hmm, theoretically, Take-Two Interactive (the current owners of the franchise) could hand the game over to another studio under them to continue work where 3D Realms left off. Although I don't know how many studios under T2 actually make FPS games.

The animation in Uncharted is impressive. There was hardly any animations in comparison with games today. Really, whatever they had now (which is next to nothing), it's trash.

    Duke was annoying.

They didn't get much done in the lst 10 years.

Rumour's going around that the 3DRealms closure wasn't really a closure. Some think it was a buyout from MS for E3, which if true is pretty cool. Too bad I won't be able to play this then.

If that is true and DN becomes a Msoft exclusive, I will blow up every Msoft employee lol.

Did anyone else notice the EGO meter?

    I lol'd.

Looks great! character animations, while still fairly early looking are amazing.

I was never sure what exactly the EGO stuff does. I remember during Jace Hall's playthrough, as he killed a few enemies, they gave off "Ego Points." But no elaboration on what they do.

If it's like Duke Nukem Land of the Babes (which I'm playing atm) then Ego is Dukes health.

I hope either the MS rumor is true or Take-2 gives this to another devs.

    this actually looks very good.

I hope the Msoft rumour isn't true and the game still gets made.I don't want this to be a 360 exclusive as it means I will have to buy a 360 to play it.

Before any smart arse says anything, I'm that big of a DN fan that I will buy a 360 for this game if I have to.
