Team ICO's Project Trico Trailer in HD

PlayStation LifeStyle has just released the breathtaking HD Trailer for Project Trico, made by the same people who made Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. This game is sure to send shockwaves through the gaming community.

This is very early footage the next game from Team ICO. As with most early footage you can expect graphical enhancements for the final product. Some of these elements, such as the main character, or scenarios you see here may not make the final cut.

    Ahh, one of the thing that's great about the Ico team is their message for love and friendship, and pulling it off so it doesn't come off cliche. These guys are awesome, kinda reminds me Miyazaki in a way.

      I think it's a meld of the two. Alot of the stuff they showed were retextured animations from SotC like climbing a giant and holding on while it moves. Even the jump they showed as he was leaping off his head to the ledge looked very much like SotC. I've been wanting to get a PS3 for a while now, all my friends have one so the online play would be awesome. I think this just sealed the deal.

    Wow...thats what comes to mind here.

    Actually when I first saw that large...thing, the first thing I thought was "wtf?" but it actually looks kinda cool. And the features this game could be touting, underwater exploration being one I'm most excited for, makes me think this could be another classic in the making.

    I'm also glad they stuck with the friendship/companionship concept that has been present in the past 2 games. It really does separate it from other games in a way that, as zero pointed out, is not cliche. The solitude also seems to be back somewhat.

    Can't wait to play this. Looks great.

      What were you watching? Sure it's slightly dated but calling those graphics awful? It was running on a level that Uncharted: Drakes Fortune reached so a years worth of development may put it up among the top games. But thats beside the point that trailer was heart warming, you could just fell the love there and i mean if that feeling is conveyed in the actual game then i hope to god they don't kill the Griffin in the game. As i connected with it and the character through that trailer, it's the first thing that came to mind watching it as that shit is emotional and i ain't scared to say it.

          Everything but that single character model is on par with Uncharted. They're obviously still working on that one model, so why are you picking on the one unfinished model when the rest of the game is obviously up there?

          I thought the environs looked really blocky and shiny. They look really alpha-y.

          But at the end of the day, I know the footage is of a year old build and I'm aware that major changes will most likely have been made. I was just commenting that if those graphics were indeed the graphics present in the final build, then there would be no excuse - they'd be awful.

          It's mostly on par with Uncharted, the character model for that kid needs a little work, but that will come.

          The kid models are the only thing graphicaly I had problems with, but you cant tell they spent more time the creature.

          I noticed that as well. They seemed to put more effort in the creature, but the kid looked really out of place.

    Wow. Something tells me the Griffin Cat will be an NPC type thing, where feeding it lets it help the kid to different areas for puzzle solving. And maybe controlling the griffin cat in wide open fleeing moments from the guards

    I saw this last night when it was first posted, right before i went to sleep. I could not sleep at all that night.

    Team ICO are known for visual stunners. Not once have they released a visually subpar game. I expect no less this time around.
