Heavy Rain doesn't seem to stop to impress. During E3, developer Quantic Dream has shown a developer walkthrough. The walkthrough is broken down in to five parts, detailing one of the character's nasty and intense encounter with Mad Jack.

Sheesh, I tell ya this game is looking nice. Very story driven and definitely does immerse you into the characters themselves to induce the emotions for the characters.

I don't like the profanity so far in that one scene, but I suppose it's expected since it's like a movie (R rated movie).

I can imagine that playing this game would definitely get my heart rate going in certain scenes Lol . . . especially since I personally am TERRIBLE at things like button sequences and all that.

"Aw crud, I missed! Crud I missed again! MAN I'm gonna die! AHH!!" Short story, sad ending for me Lol

Personally I think its kind of silly to complain about profanity unless it detracts from the overall experience, which Heavy Rain doesn't seem to do, but hey to each his own.

Yeah but I'm not a normal person I'm odd . . . (Joking, don't quote me on that!)

In real life I don't use profanity, so when playing a game with a lot of that in it, it detracts from the game, IMO. In real life, even my friends who DO curse and all that, respect me enough to not do it around me.

It's just one of those things that, like you said I suppose, to each his own. I see profanity as "Following the crowd" because you use words that make no sense, in situations just because everyone says they should be used in those cases like getting hurt and to show force, and also a "Lack of vocabulary" because one doesn't think of other words to use.

....Sorry, I think I've created a few paragraphs only to say that the profanity does detract from the experience, with me personally.

I saw the same level shown on G4, except the character died at the very end of it. I watched it again on Gametrailers and it was still *bleep*ing intense.

The character died at the very end of it?! Where was that video, I never saw that one.

I saw it on G4TV when Adam Sessler had a one on one with the developers. Wish they had a video out for it.

Not a fan of it being completely based on QTEs. Looks nice visually, but I doubt I'll like the gameplay. But, as with everything else, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and not pass judgement until I've tried it.

I feel the same way about this game. I think I would rather just watch it as a movie, as I was pretty immersed in what I saw, I don't know about it being a game though.

Yeah I understand that. The QTE seems like a bit much here, but eh, overall I think this game will be worth the purchase. Ninja Blade turned out to be quite decent for me though it was rather flooded with QTEs. The gameplay and style of the game made it enjoyable.

UGH, A game based entirely around moving places and quicktime events? Sorry but that didn't even save fahrenheit from distaste

I'm wary of the QTE-based gameplay, since QTEs are one of the worst game ideas that have ever been invented. But I am intrigued by the style of the game and the plot. I think that alone might warrant a purchase.

Same here. I'm not too much against QTE itself, just the fact that I just plain can't get the buttons right half the time, so I die often inthose situations haha.

But the style of the game, and the plot, have me wanting this game.
