The first Magna Carta game wasn't much of a success, but the second installment seems to be getting positive reactions from gaming sites. So will Magna Carta II redeem the series? We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, here is the newest trailer...

Discuss in the Magna Carta II forum

According to the new trailer (below the jump), this new game takes place 1,000 years after the original, which is how long it actually took to develop. There's not too much to comment on: the story is appropriately melodramatic, the character designs are questionable, and the production values are top-notch. If that sounds like a generic Japanese action-RPG, don't worry: Colette's E3 impressions were very positive.

Besides, y'know, big boobs and little numbers coming out of heads.

Some of the voice acting wasn't bad. Most of it was but not all of it.

The game looks very stylized and pretty. The voice acting I didn't feel was that bad, but definitely not the best. Really, companies should save time and money by just adding English subtitles instead of dub, it isn't like the people who buy JRPGs are the sort to mind reading a bit more.

Being an insane RPG fan, i think this looks quite good.

I couldn't care less about voice acting tbh i think it sounds alright.

I may pick this up, but next rpg i'm getting is gonna be the new Tales game.

Is there still a cross dressing protagonist?

Until there are none I will never look twice at the game, not without laughing anyway
