Yikes! Not exactly what Wii gamers have been hoping for! News emerging thanks to a Wii-GameCube comparison clip that the new Wii Edition of Resident Evil 4 is virtually untouched in the graphics department. The guys at GamerSquad seem to think the gameplay improvements will be enough to carry it to classic status though.

Resident Evil 4 is originally a classic GameCube title, and the GameCube was not exactly well known for its aesthetic performance muscle. With the game appearing on the Wii, gamers have been hoping for some graphical embellishments to complement the new Wii Remote gameplay enhancements. Alas, it would appear that Capcom and Nintendo haven’t taken that into consideration when engineering the Wii version.

Come on. Resident Evil 4.... again? Twice wasn't enough?

Doesn't need any graphical changes really, looks great enough as it is. Also the Wii version has already been said by many sites to be the most superior one out of the other versions with the improved gameplay, so yeah.

Personally, I find it disappointing. Probably because I've played the PS2 version to death now. The LEAST they could've done was to add more content (extra costumes/weapons/mini games anyone?)

Some of it will be new to me, since I only played the Gamecube version. I'll eventually be picking this up.
