Kotaku had a chance to get some hands on time with Sony's EyePet and they show us some impressive footage. They go one to draw a paper airplane and your little pet draws the exact same drawing as the model is then rendered into 3D and your little takes off into the clouds.

Follow the link to watch the second video.

These two videos show the beta version of the game which is being shown off today in New York. The game is set for a holiday release, Sony Computer Entertainment told Kotaku. The game will be sold both as a bundle with the camera and on its own. Both versions will come with a card used to interact with the virtual pet.

Really? I can. Eight Days didn't look that great.

Eight Days was essentially just a simple hype builder i personally don't think they were ever intending on releasing it. I hope they get to make The Getaway 3 though at some point.

They did intend on releasing it but this is a money maker.

Was that monkey flying up into the dreamworks logo? The design of its face even looked similar

This looks awesome. Can hardly wait for it to come out. I remember seeing videos of the PSN Team messing around in the office and how they came up with some tech that they used, with the PSEye to draw stuff and then put it "into" the game to use and interact with, with the controller and all that too.

When I saw this Eye Pet at E3, I was glad to see they did put that tech to use! I was beginning to think they just tossed the idea despite how great it was!
