Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

With Monster Hunter's enormous popularity, it seems like Namco Bandai really want to cash in on Capcom's wave of success (and maybe Ghostbusters'). This new title is called Kaiju Busters, being developed excusively for the DS. It boasts a lot of similarities to Monster Hunter, including co-operative play. It's supposed to be released in Japan this winter.
Namco Bandai is developing Kaiju Busters for the Nintendo DS, which looks like Earth Defense Force meets Monster Hunter.
In the game you’re a soldier that “hunts” ultra sized monsters. There are forty kaiju to take down, some of which are from Ultraman like Red King and Gomora. Players can equip over 500 weapons and take on 300+ missions. Stronger weapons can be created with materials found while exploring areas.
Like Monster Hunter, Kaiju Busters is a cooperative loot collecting game and that genre is doing phenomenally well in Japan. Kaiju Busters has the potential to fill a void on the DS and be a holiday hit for Namco Bandai when it comes out in “winter 2009″.
