IGN have revealed a bunch of new Batman: Arkham Asylum screens featuring Joker's right-hand gal Harley Quinn and her sexy new look. She'll be there to torment Batman throughout the game... except when she's having a little "me time", of course. Needless to say, her personality is as charming as ever!
There are also two new Gametrailers videos and an IGN video showing brief encounters Batman will have with Harley at the beginning of the game.

There wasn't anything wrong with how she used to look but I guess this look is pretty cool too.

I think it was more a case of getting her to fit in with the theme of the game. Quite a few of the villains received a makeover so that they looked more serious and sinister.

        quote Sefton Hill
We worked with WildStorm a lot on that, and we really -- with Harley -- we decided quite early on that Harley in that environment would probably decide to pimp out her outfit and do something a bit unique with it. So that was one character that we felt would really take things that were around her, uhm...

Other characters? Like Poison Ivy has the distinctive orange jacket on, but that's an Arkham jacket, again that she's taken and kind of torn to make it very much her own style. Scarecrow again has more of a unique look. So kind of, it was really just we wanted to create something that felt kind of like it could be real, so there were some characters we thought we had to take in a slightly different direction in order to do that.

It was a great opportunity as well because it creates a consistent universe for us, you know. It was a really exciting thing to do, and we were very close to WildStorm on that -- and you know with Paul Dini on the Harley Quinn creations -- to make sure we would stand very true to the vision of who these characters are or how they would look in this universe.

I think she looks great. Definitely fits the overall theme as well as her sadistic nature.

Damn, I cannot WAIT for this game!

The only gripe I have about her new outfit is that they got rid of her jester/harlequin look in exchange for a weird dominatrix-leather-nurse costume.
Feel free to update her look or even sex her up a bit, but keep the jester/harlequin theme. It's who she is. She idolizes the Joker so much she wears a matching outfit!

Oh well. They've kept her personality intact so I guess that's what counts most. It's still kinda bizarre to look at that outfit though...on Harley, anyway.

I reckon the nurse outfit works brilliantly because she seems the type of mess about like that, the thing I don't like is that they sexed her up too much. Part of her appeal in the comics and cartoons was that she was one of the most sadistic characters but always had a level of innocence, fake or not. Now when she's dressed up like a cross between a nurse and a pornstar that's just gone

Well she WAS a nurse, right?

I agree though, the outfit doesn't seem to fit her sadistic nature. And Like you said, Hideo, the old look had that level of innocence that she even used sometimes to her advantage. This outfit just . . . definitely doesn't.

No she wasn't, she was a psychologist who tried to cure Joker but fell in love with him and became batshit insane at the same time.

And I think the outfit fits the sadistic nature perfectly as it makes her seem all dominatrix-like, it just doesn't work in the innocence, which I feel is a more important factor.

Psychologist, sorry, I knew that's what she was but was considering that close enough to a "nurse," just trying to fix the psychological issues instead.

So a psychologist is a nurse just because she's a woman? That's harsh HS, that's harsh

No definitely not! Man what are you trying to do, get me in trouble with the women here on GG???

I'm just saying she was like a nurse in the way she took care of the patients (in my mind. My mind, doctors come in, look at the patient, and then leave. Nurses are there and keep coming back to actually care for the patient and help the patient. VERY loose generalization and all that, but that's just the mental image of nurses and doctors in my mind).

But I guess I should stand corrected: Harley was more of a doctor than a nurse technically

She's actually a psychiatrist which would make her a proper doctor

A psychologist is just a 'weak' psychiatrist, no? *bleep*, I always get 'em mixed up XD

The notion of a psychologist trying to understand Joker is tickling though

The main difference is one can prescribe meds, while the other can not. You only make the real $$ when you can prescribe good meds to all of your friends. LOL

Yea, going from a jester (costume matches the 'theme' with the Joker) to a nurse was a bit weird for me but I have no problems with the look itself.

I guess in that instance, it's good to play this game only being a very minor Batman fan.Probably because of that, this new theme of her sounds better than a jester/harlequin theme.

Her hot leather S&M outfit still has a harlequin touch to it though. I think it looks really good and fits in better with the dark theme than the more cartoonish innocent look would have.

Yeah, i reckon if they kept her original costume it wouldn't of looked as good as the destroyed and customised nurses outfit.
