We have all seen those cool time lapse videos. They are usually videos of the city, or by a field and sometimes looking up into the sky. They are quite remarkable to watch. Well now Fallout 3 has one of these types of videos, showing the time change through various locations.

Check out the video after the jump!

For this effort, I decided that I'd attempt to show the blasted, barren Fallout 3 landscape in as much detail as possible - far beyond what either the Xbox 360 or PS3 are capable of. That meant running the PC version at 1080p, with every single setting at the max and backed with a megaton of processing power: in short, in full bullshot mode. The game has many tweakables dedicated to the LOD settings and those, along with the anti-aliasing and shadow detail, are where the lion's share of the CPU and GPU cycles went.

    I'm DLing the original file.

From the LQ video though, while it's cool, it's kind of sad that the clouds apparently don't change. Only the sun/moon seems to move at all. The clouds change color, but are basically otherwise painted on.
