Dante isn't a saint. He is, quite frankly a sinner. He has committed all 7 deadly sins. And when Dante reaches the fourth circle, redemption and guilt begin to set in. Greed is going to be full of traps, puzzles and to be more mechanic then natural (because hell is all natural). Check out the video after the jump.

The Dante's dev team talk about the circle of Hell associated with Greed, and what separates the digital Dante from his poetic counterpart.

First video of this game I watched. Looked ok. Most annoying part is when the devs went on and on about how "Dante the poet fainted and Virgil carried him, blah blah blah, so we couldn't use him."

Then why make him the main character!? What's the point? Why not just make it some random new character breaking into hell? I said it so long ago when this game was first announced, but to hear them talk about how Dante wouldn't work but make it Dante anyway... is just annoying. I doubt the game is meant to be taken seriously, but it wouldn't be half has dumb of a concept to me if it wasn't Dante as the main character. I just can't get how they'd think it's awesome to take Dante and make him Kratos rather than just making another Kratos.

they should have made dante more original. And like you said less like kratos. But I do like how he has committed all the deadly sins (not thats a good thing)
