Sometimes selling things on live TV isn't the best idea. The Home Shopping Network recently tried to promote the Nintendo Wii with Wii Sports and 15 Accessories. Instead, they showed the audience why it's a good idea not to get too enthusiastic while playing...

Skip forward to 5:00 for the muck-up.

Rules of a salesman: don't show the faults of the product you're trying to sell.

And isn't $330 bucks highway robbery?

Apparently it has 15 "accessories" as well.

Which, in my opinion, should make the set cost less becuase of how much garbage they send you with it.

It is. My friend showed me this a little while ago, pretty hilarious stuff. I watched the tennis racket smack the TV so many times. I really wonder if that guy was fired, haha.

Wow, they're SO . . . uh, staged in their talking, that's one of the funnier things about it!

That, and wasn't he just standing too close to the TV and it hit the TV? Why'd he say it flew off and hit the TV? I'd think the truth would have sounded better! What sounds safer: "Don't stand too close to the TV, you might hit it!" or "Uh, as we just saw, this thing MAY fly off the remote even after I thought I really had it on!"
EDIT:Re-watched it, maybe it did fly off?

    These people are terrible man.

There was the one who missed a rung on a latter and fell like 20 feet onto his back.

Oh yeah, and the guy try to show how awesome a sword was by slamming it onto a counter top. It broke off and stabbed him.

I remember that sword one. I didn't know whether to laugh or to shake my head (or both), or wonder if the guy was alright!

Haha, This job is beginning to seem more and more dangerous! Of course, as staged as they seem all the time, makes me wonder if the people are just . . . well . . . nevermind.

Yeah, there was concern at first. Til' you realize that it couldn't have done much more than break the skin.

Then you feel more concerned about the guy who thought it was a good idea to give him a sharp object in the first place.

I think the only intelligent thing that guy did during this entire video was to stand in front of the part of the television that he messed up.

How is the editted short version of this not on FailBlog yet ?
