Live action Assassin's Creed project trailer debuts

In a similar vein of the Halo ODST live action shorts Ubisoft is doing the same with Assassin's Creed 2. A series of live action shorts set prior to AC2 are planned and today a trailer has been released.

Back at E3 Ubisoft announced that in junction with Assassin's Creed 2 a series of live action shorts would be released. With the folks who did the effects for the film 300 at the helm a lot of people were interested to see the world of AC2 brought to live and expanded.

After watching the first trailer for this endeavor I'm not exactly sure what to think. At times it looks cool with shots looking like they were ripped out of the game but at times everything just looks really off.

    That was pretty cool! Done well, nice special effects and it seems to be a good insight into Ezio's past. It's awesome that his Dad was an Assassin, too!

    Finally a chance for UbiSoft to show the painstaking labour that went into building their own movie studio, the effects in that trailer alone were stunning to make the scene around the characters looks like it's within the game when it's not is very good.
