Square Enix has finalized a lawsuit against the Phantom Entertainment Group, a talent agency, for replicating live-action scenes of the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in Korean pop singer Ivy's music video "Temptation of Sonata".
Square Enix today announced that on June 22nd, 2007, it filed a copyright infringement lawsuit with the Seoul Central Court against Phantom Entertainment Group and Mr HONG Jeong-ho.
The complaint alleges that Phantom, a Korean talent agency, used live-action replicas of scenes from the Square Enix CG-animated film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in Korean singer Ivy's music-videos, without obtaining permission from Square Enix.

Songs rubbish as well to be honest XD ... //
I would feel like a total bad-ass if I was fighting in a scene like this.
Too bad they didn't ask for permission to do it >_>

The beginning is awful though: "Hey, hey, hey. Look at the hottie y'all."
"Woah, you know her?"
"Her name is Ivy."
"Woah ... Iva?"
"No man, I to the V to the Y"
Ugh! WTF!
Square-Enix blows.
(Side for the fact that once the composer and/or last copyright holder has been dead for 50 years American Law allows that music to be public domain. Not sure of that fact over-seas though)
It was something like "I couldn't get in contact with Squeenix, so I assumed it would be okay to make this video"
Haha! Surely he could have come up with something better than that. XD XD
Honestly, they would have been better off making it in vein of a spoof.
Either way, I feel bad for her, they should have asked for permission first, but I think Square Enix are taking it to the ass. I mean, I would kinda be a little proud and yet laughing my ass of if they tried to recreate a scene from a movie that I made. I would be a little upset that they didn't ask first, but I wouldn't sue just yet. XD
