Fun Stuff: Canadian chick sings Valkyria Chronicles theme live

Canadian singer Himeka is filmed singing the opening music to the Valkyria Chronicles anime, live in Japan (skip to about the 2 min mark for the performance). This is awesome, but a bit weird. Why is she singing a song for an anime of all things? Surprisingly there’s an amazing reason

I think she's great and the live performance is fantastic - especially for a girl who was brought up speaking French and learned to speak English through watching Disney movies
