In a rather unusual music video directed by McG and produced by Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami, Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst sung a cover to the Vapors' "Turning Japanese" while dancing through the streets of the Akihabara district in Tokyo dressed as a colorful anime princess and showing off the area's otaku culture.

Apparently, the video was part of a 2009 art exhibit at the Tate Modern, "Pop Life: Art in a Material World," and aimed at showing the public Murakami's belief that "real art is centered in entertainment."
