I haven't even bought a replacement for my daughter's broken DS yet and Nintendo goes and announces a new version of the Nintendo DS, the 3DS. Click through to see a video of what may be an example of how they pull off the 3D without glasses.

So how can Nintendo pull of 3D with a handheld and not require special glasses? We may know already based on a Japanese DSi game that features head-motion tracking using the DSi's built-in camera. By tracking the position of the gamer's head in relation to the DSi, it can simulate 3D like effects very convincingly. Check the video to see.
