Wii Controller Extension

Krunal | July 17, 2007 | Video | Wii
Ever swung a Wii controller and were unhappy with the speed that you hit the ball with? Well no worries, as someone has created a Wii Controller Extension that will have you swinging and hitting the ball at speeds you could only hope for. The extension itself was made using nothing other than a basket on a handle with mechanical triggers for the A and B buttons. The controller itself is a Wiimote Holder for Baseball, Tennis, and Golf with the Patent still Pending

Just watch the video and see for yourself ;)

that kid made this? Wow! He's got some engineering skillz! I wonder if this thing will allow you to get pitches at speeds of 200mph.

I don't think he made it, as from what I read, the extension has been patented by Nintendo

Interesting. Looks good for only Baseball though. That'd be funny if the Wiimote wasn't locked in tight in that case and flew out.

That's neat =D Maybe it can be used for a hockey game or something as well. Polo even xD

Rated down for having a dog in video.

Also, it's fast enough as it is with the Wii Remote in hand. I fail to see the speed increase. It makes it slower.

It's simple mathematics. With an extension, your making a bigger "arc" by swinging it. Imagine 4 points:
      A----B----C----D

Before you could only swing it from B to C (since it's much closer to your body). With the attachment you can swing it from A to D, in the same time that you use to swing it from B to C, and thus make it appear as your swinging faster

Lol, that's pretty good even though I don't have a Wii.
