    it actually gives the game more personality somehow, like it fleshes out the world better than it would in 3rd person.

    car physics suck though, doesn't work well with 1st person.

    The game sucks either way, however. 1st person, 3rd person, 19th person. You name it, GTA4 will still be terrible.

      The game was perfectly fine. You're just hating on it because it wasn't San Andreas or Vice City.

        Pfft GTAIII is more fun than GTAIV. Not everyone who dislikes GTAIV because it's no San Andreas.


        The fact is some of think that the realism they added to the game and teh lack of replayability that the single player has, made it boring.

          The foremost complaint about GTA IV was lack of replayability. How a game that can only be played once with enjoyment gets so much critical acclaim is beyond me...

          Well, that's just you. I personally enjoyed all the missions and the story, so replaying GTA IV would be perfectly fine to me.

    I wouldn't be displeased if GTA5 would be in first person.
