Microsoft has finally found a way to promote and advertise games in Japan because of how bad their console is doing. They've decided to use girls. Tsugihara Kana and Natsuki Yoshihara advertise Dead or Alive Extreme 2. Check out the video.

Forget slogans like “Do! Do! Do!” using run of the mill boy pop groups or in-game pics of the damsels of DOA in teeny bikinis, just like the pic from DOA Extreme 2 above.

Just because a chick is the spokesperson/promoter doesn't make me want to buy anything.

Agreed with the post above. Just because I girl wants a game, doesn't affect me at all. They can want TMNT games all they want and I won't buy one.

Two very hot girls indeed, I would hit it. Even so, the best possible form of sexy advertising won't make me buy a 360 and Dead or Alive Extreme 2.

Even though I LOVE Japanese girls, It's definetly not NEAR enough to make me want a $50-$60 game.

Wow talk about blowing a promotion way out of proportion. This looks more like promoting Sexy girls than gaming. MS why can't you learn its the games you have that can't win over japan.

Here is my next question, how much did MS have to pay to get these two hot girls to say the lines and to do this video. I mean did you look at the middle it seems the girls was very close to each other. *hint, hint*

They are japanese gravure idols it is their jobs to pose in sexually suggestive poses, and these models probably weren't cheap to hire.

Sure, it appeals to people, (including me) but I don't think it'd brainwash me what much to make me want to buy the game.

My god look at that TV, it looks simply amazing <=]

    Natsuki Yoshihara > Tsugihara Kana

Interesting to see that they have come to this path but also to say it is nice to see. But I have never seen the attraction to "buying" the product just cause a couple of super hot Asians are basically rolling around by the game being payed to make it appear better to people =/..

To be honest I was watching that TV half the time just to see what the game was actually like.

Well sex does sell so you never know on how the 360 will do in Japan.

I haven't really understood that though. Fair enough it is in the game which is where I understand if it sells because of that but getting 2 "rather hot" Asians to prance around taking photos with the game and console, I don't get how that dose

It's because sex sells doesn't it? Two many people in this world are obsessed with it and believe it or not adverts such as this do work on these types of people.

Doesn't for me though, I find it rather lame Microsoft are using the "sex sells" tactic.
