Dynasty Warriors 6 Xbox 360 bound

Koei announced today that Dynasty Warriors 6, formerly thought to be a PS3 exclusive, is coming to the Xbox 360 for a simultaneous release this fall. The game will feature new weapons, and players will be able to perform virtually unlimited combos.

Along with the details, they have also released a new trailer for the upcoming game:


Button mashing fans rejoice as Koei announced today that the latest entry in the highly successful Dynasty Warriors franchise would no longer release solely on the PS3 later this Fall. Dynasty Warriors 6 is now set for a simultaneous release on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

Previously thought to be a PS3 exclusive, Dynasty Warriors 6 is now also headed to Xbox 360. This latest edition will, like always, feature all new weapons and some other updates to make the game that much more enjoyable. Interestingly, the gameplay formula has also received an overhaul, the result of which will enable players to perform virtually unlimited combos.

      It was thought to be an exclusive it wasn't set in stone, some people think just because it was an exclusive on the PS2 it has to be an exclusive on the PS3.

    DW is relatively popular, this is a hit to the PS3 which has already been enough of a punching bag. A possible God of War and/or Shadow of the Colossus exclusive sequel gives PS3 some hope, but it's clinging on to MGS4 for dear life.

      It's already been announced there will be no Shadow of the Colossus sequel. However, the same creators will make an entirely new and different game.

      Why is it good? The PS3 needs exclusives, the 360 is becoming a freaking whore getting games from the PS3.

    Oh man, I was so glad to hear this news. After hearing about it being a PS3 exclusive, I was so god damn bummed. AFter watching that trailer, you can't even begin to comprehend the joy I felt was I heard this was coming to the 360.

    Looks great big fan of Dynasty warriors but it was getting a bit stale this looks awesome though. Can't wait for it to come out.

    Didn't matter which console it's on, I'm getting it. Would be the first Dynasty Warriors game that I owned, too, but I like what I'm seeing from them.

    I have no care for this game as DW5 was a let down but it isnt looking to bad. I liked N3 on 360 and this seems to have picked that up a good bit. I might try it but I dont know yet. If they somehow added more stealth in it at times then maybe =/

    I knew that it was only a matter of time untill they told us that it was going to be on the 360. Good thing as I'll probably buy the 360 version.

    What so people were thinking this was going to be a PS3 exclusive? With 2 Dynasty Warriors games already out on the 360 and more planning to do so I thought it would have been obvious for Dynasty Warriors 6 to be coming to the 360.

    I'm pleased, this coming out will knock down prices of the older DW games on the 360 which is good, I haven't played a hack n slash in a while and buying DW5 cheap again would be nice.
