However, this IS the first trailer, and typically they open the hype machine with an awesome trailer. We'll see how it REALLY turns out in November
Can't believe people are still falling for these COD trailers....
If it's not a good game, I'll just get Skyrim instead of complaining about it for 3-6 months like most probably will.
Hell, I'm getting Skyrim no matter what.
Every COD game that comes out, only 3 words can describe it:
"AMERRICCUUHHH *bleep* YEAAHHHH!"
oh and Copy and Paste
Edit: I honestly don't mean for this to offend anyone. I'm not posting this picture sarcastically or with any sort of contempt in an attempt to cause an argument. It's just the truth.
No matter what this trailer showed off, people who hate this game series with a passion would still hate it.
Even if they made radical improvements and changes in the game, people would still complain. It's like I was saying in the forums...
Keeping each game similar to the last = "What is this shit? This is the same game I bought a year ago! I want my money back!"
Changing things up (would very likely) = "What is this shit? This isn't a Call of Duty game! I want my money back!"
It's near impossible to win over haters and with record breaking sales, critical acclaim, and various awards, I don't think they care to win anyone else over.
This all isn't to say that complaints about the series are unwarranted or baseless. The series certainly has flaws, but so does every series. Radical changes like some seem to want are unnecessary in my opinion, but I'm all for improvements. The main reason people are so quick to point out the problems with this particular franchise is because of the game's massive popularity.
Of course, I could always be wrong, but I wrote about seven paragraphs. There's no way I'm wrong. /trollface
And, with the high number of fans this series has, why would they make radical changes to win new fans over at the risk of alienating a few million?
If they take the risk and succeed, I'll be incredibly impressed, but I can't fault them for playing it safe. Well, I suppose I could, but I won't.
It's almost like saying a fighter sucks because he's not willing to take a lot of damage, but at the same time he's throwing everyone he fights a major beating and winning every match in such a dominating fashion. It's just not fair to fault him for that. The way he fights works, so why would he risk taking a beating and possibly lose a fight just to satisfy the people who insult him and try to bring him down?
