The full theme song for Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has finally been released. The song (entitled "Why") is sung by popular Japanese singer Ayaka.

A "game version" of the music-video will be released with Ayaka's Limited Edition DVD single. This version of the video will include scenes from Crisis Core.

Noooo. This is a girl that Squeenix have chosen to sing for FF.

You're thinking of Ivy. She stole the AC clips and used them in her music-video.

For some reason it doesn't sound like a Final Fantasy song, especially not a theme song.

Well I gotta agree, she looks resonably good looking from the one images shown.. I dont see this being an amazing theme, I would more be happy to see a instrental like in the past. Likes of Zanarkand and the Midgar theme, all legend tracks. With the likes of Real Emotion I did not seem great though it did fit the style of the game.. As this is aimed at all I think they should stick to what they know best.. I would like to hear an english version as what is going to be offered as I dont want this on the game when I am playing it, I only know 1 word ¬_________¬

I dunno... earlier "pop" songs like Eyes on Me and Melodies of Life suited the FF games rather nicely. They were pretty quality tracks, that fit into the scenes really well.

Nowadays theme songs seem to be a cheap way for Squeenix to raise game sales amongst the singer's fans, and for a pop singer to raise CD sales amongst FF fans. The quality songs are gone >_>

Based on pop stars and trying to get the fans in you are correct. I just dont get why they just stick to the instrementals like they have done in the past =[
