The PS Vita is sony's newest most powerful new mobile portable gaming unit that boost tons of new features. Before E3 the PS Vita was announced and during E3 there was a introduction of WII U a new gaming unit that have portable devices that work along side the new system. Well now sony has confirmed there PS Vita will do the same.

Sony has just up the gaming wars with Nintendo after confirming via a new video trailer that there new PS Vita will be compatible and playable with the ps3. The video shows off cross-platform gameplay between the Vita and the PlayStation 3, the Vita's party features, PS More (a new feature), and others. The PS Vita is expected before the year is over no date has been given on the Nintendo Wii U. Seems like this puts Sony a head of the others in what Nintendo was hoping to be the first on.

Says the guy who doesn't bother to capitalize his sentences. Back on topic: I do see this as a definite blow to the Wii U's potential sales, since this was probably the only appealing feature it had for me personally. If the PS Vita allows you to actually travel away from your home and still play your PS3 games, then that's a definite 1-up over the Wii U (assuming the controller needs to remain in close distance to the console). On the other hand, the PS Vita requires you to own both a PS3 and a Vita, which might be the drawback that leaves Wii U at an advantage. It all comes down to the pricing of the Wii U and if Nintendo has any other tricks up it sleeve besides its controller.

You dont have to own a PS3 to own a PS Vita, I am not sure where you are getting this information. the PS3 and PSVita are separate consoles just like the PS3 and PSP were. PSVita has more OPTIONS with connecting to the PS3.

Yeah, I know that. The whole context of my post was conparing the PSVita's connectivity to the PS3 with the Wii U and its controller. I can see how reading that one sentence could make someone think I meant the PSVita was useless without a PS3 but it should be clear what I intended to say if you read the sentences before it. Along with the title of the article I'm commenting on. I mean, come on...

Hey the spelling/grammar is for sure not great and something we struggle with, if you are good at that and want to help us out being a editor let us know. back to the subject at hand. i think this would be really quite cool as more and more mobile and web games are coming out who knows where these PS Vita units with ps3 could lead us. you can own the PS Vita with out PS3 but you will not be able to do the cross play feature. Spike Spiegel can you send me a PM with a link to that post or post it here.
