nothing but a RUMOR they have not even said they are making a new one right now let alone any of the hardware. title should reflect the truth and be marked as rumor or the title changed.

Impressive if true, but until I have one sitting infront of me and I can see it working I don't believe shit.

10 gigs isn't that much... My computer has 6 and it's 4 1/2 years old. It's a sizeable amount, but it's not like OMG UNBELIEVABLE HUGE. Frankly it's what I would expect. We're pretty much coming to the ceiling in terms of graphics, so next gen SHOULD be enormous power.

its a lot for a console. a PC has a bunch of other crap running that hogs memory even while youre playing a game but a console doesnt.

        Doesn't matter.

Realtime physics are changing how games bleed through RAM and 10gig is, as some people have said "sizeable". 16gig guarantees that there's enough to pass around and then some.

Personally, I'd like it if they had enough where you could completely level an open world environment with full destructibility and it all runs fine.

Xbox to 360 was an 800% increase in RAM. 360 to next Xbox would be a 2000% increase if this article is true. that seems like more than enough extra memory considering what the 360 is capable of with only 512 MB to work with.

the more power they cram inside, the higher the price will be. and they would be better to spend that cost on a better GPU/CPU.

its huge pc games does not even require that much. mw3 suggested is 4gb ram this is more then 2 times it. And that is the suggested but required is 2gbs ram. 10gb ram is huge.

10 gigs won't happen with the next generation, it just won't.

I can imagine 6GB. 8GB on the outside, but 10GB would pointlessly add to the cost of the unit. Even high end gaming rigs have little use for that much RAM. I am running on a nice little beast and it only has 6GB of ram.

No, I'd rather they stick to something like 6GB of high speed ram, rather than 10GB of mediocre or slow ram.

Besides, 10GB of ram is a rather odd number...5x2GB ram or something? 2x5GB of ram certainly wouldn't happen (as it is, 3GB sticks is the most you see now, at least usually).
